Pyramid Approach To Education® Creating Effective Learning Environments Around the Globe
The Pyramid Approach to Education® (PAE) is a time-tested approach based on the science of learning that has been implemented around the world. In this presentation, elements of the PAE will be highlighted across countries and cultures. A community research project from Canada, and case examples with videos from Germany, Russia, Japan and China will be reviewed. Participants will explore how changes in classrooms around the world occurred resulting in meaningful outcomes for staff and learners.
- Identify how to apply the nine elements of the Pyramid Approach across countries and cultures
- Describe how to overcome two barriers when collaborating with all members of the learning team (teacher, paraprofessional, SLP, OT, PT, behavior analyst, administrator, caregiver/guardian) for application of the Pyramid elements
- Identify a minimum of three changes that can be applied to your current learning environment to improve learner outcomes, increase cultural awareness and strengthen collaboration
