Description:
This unique continuing education experience
includes a review of one journal article about the ethics of
interprofessional collaboration. Participants will read the article and
watch a 60-minute discussion with Andy Bondy, PhD, co-developer of PECS®,
Pyramid Consultant Jo-Anne Matteo, MS, CCC-SLP, and special guest, Rose
Griffin, MA, CCC-SLP/BCBA. During the recorded session, the presenters will
discuss the article and share information about interprofessional
collaboration. After the presentation, participants will complete a short quiz
related to the contents of the article and subsequent discussion. Upon
completion of all requirements, participants are eligible for ASHA, BACB, and
IBAO CEUs.
Learning Objectives:
- Examine and discuss the author’ s proposed guidelines for working collaboratively
- Identify at least 3 components of the author’s decision-making model
- Identify at least 3 benefits for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Discuss our professional ethical obligation for collaboration
