PECS® Level 1 Recertification Information & Registration
Individuals who are current PECS Implementers and would like to maintain their PECS Implementer Certification may do so by enrolling in the PECS Level 1 Implementer Recertification Program. Individuals will demonstrate and successfully complete all requirements.
Demonstration requirements include:
- PECS Implemented within functional activities.
- 4-Step error correction procedure.
Written requirements include submitting:
- PECS across the day form.
- A written description of how PECS is being implemented within functional activities.
- A self-evaluation of all submitted demonstrations and written assignments.
Individuals will have 6 months to successfully complete all of the PECS Level 1 Recertification requirements. Upon successfully completing the demonstration requirements a Certification of Completion for the PECS Level 1 Implementer Certification Program™ is issued.
The PECS Level 1 Certified Implementer™ status is valid for three years from the date of completion.
PECS Level 1 Certified Implementer™ holding a valid certificate may continue on to the PECS Level 2 Implementer Certification Program™.
Prerequisites: valid PECS Level 1 Implementer Certificate™ & PECS Level 1 or Level 2 Workshop within 6 months.
Fee: $250.00 USD per person
